The Jetfoil has the advantage of retracting strut/foils above the water, being different from other hydrofoils. Hence the Jetfoil can be utilized in the shallow water port without special dredging. As the minimum draft of the Jetfoil is 4.9m at the strut down condition and 2.2m at the strut up condition, the above depth of water is recommended considering sea bed soil.
